The Drapper Family
Hi,
Until recently we were importing a learning aid from the USA and marketing it in the UK. It is a fantastic product and I can highly recommend it but the economic downturn and the relative rise in the value of the U.S. Dollar sounded the end for our import business. If you or anyone you know has learning difficulties do look at the Learning Breakthrough Programme, it is quite remarkable.
So this left us having to review our plans.
Planning a new way forward is not a frightening thing for us, we have been teaching people about how to plan out a strategy to reach their goals for many years with Five Steps to Success. So apply it to us and where do we go?
The Gospel of Jesus Christ has always been the most important thing in our lives, though we have not always been able to make it my job, as it were, and making an income, schooling the children and all the other things that NEED doing like mending the broken this or mowing the lawns etc. have often just eaten up the our time.
The BBC film ‘Deborah 13 Servant of God’ has brought about some opportunities and some difficulties. In the few weeks since the film was first shown on the BBC Deborah’s website www.deborahdrapper.com has had over 1,600 comments posted to it. A few and only a few were rude or obscene and so everyone had to be read and approved or rejected, and many, many of them needed a reply. And most of these replies had to be longish and needed a fair amount of study.
Deborah has also received more than 700 emails. Again they all need reading and almost all need answering. Deborah has also been on three radio interviews and has one or two still to go and is due to be on Genesis TV this Wednesday, (22nd April 2009), for a live interview and phone in programme. They apparently also want me on although I have told them I have a face for radio!
In top of this we are going to the Christian Resources Exhibition, at Sandown Park, Esher, from 13th to 15th May and Deborah should be at the Living Waters EU stand working with Jim McMaster.
Full-Time Ministry?
Putting all of this together we have been praying about going full-time in ministry not really knowing just what that would actually look like. Evangelist, apologist, teacher, chauffeur for Deborah? We are not sure just what we should be doing or how we would fund this more, but yesterday we received a completely unexpected offer of a gift that would put us a good way towards being able to fund this ministry. We would very much value your prayers about this matter.
We felt it was time to print 1000 copies of “Finding Gods Way” to give out.
If you do not know what it is like I would describe that it has a similar role to the Alpha course, but in just four sessions and in a way that is very, very simple. If you can read, you can lead someone though this course, even if you have never seen it before.
If you went through it today and became a Christian you could lead your friends through it tomorrow. A lady who does prison work wants copies of it. You can read it on this here.
Upcoming Events for your prayers.

We shall be helping out at a small creation exhibition and giving out tracts and Kent Hovind DVDs. Last time we went we had crowds of scientists round us asking loads of questions. Really good. Anyone want to join us? Contact us here
July/August – Three Danish lads, who use WOTM outreach materials coming to England. They are helping with a mission in Oxfordshire then may be coming down to visit us to do street work.
