Great Falling Away From Church In The 20th Century
June 25th, 2009 by Andrew Drapper

I guess at almost all times through history there has been a falling away form God and a need for a nation to come back to Him calling on Him for forgiveness.

But during the 20th century and into the 21st century there has been a great decline within the British Isles and a falling away from God. The conditions on the Island of Lewis was part of this falling away. Today, however, even the ungodly of Lewis in 1949 would have to say that our society is wayward and depraved.

As the church we can not wag the finger and say they are wayward and depraved, for we are the watchmen on the wall and have failed to blow the trumpet and cry out. The terrible decline in the society outside the church, is probably a result, (even if only in part), of the churches turning away from God the true gospel.
