Just What Did Happen In Noah's Flood?
November 20th, 2008 by Andrew Drapper

Ark of noahs timeThe Bible accounts of the Creation and the Flood of Noah’s day are absolutely foundational to what Christians believe. If God did not create the world he has no rights over it, and the flood account models for us God’s right to judge the world. If God did create the world he does have rights over it and the Flood teaches us He will judge it.

One of my children’s favorite DVD’s is The Hovind Theory by Kent Hovind. I was sat watching it the other day and it was a newer recording of it than I have watched before and he has a great clip in it from Walt Brown.

Walt Brown gives one of the best explanations I have ever seen of the science behind the Flood of Noah’s day in under 7 minuets. The clip is available on YouTube so I have put it in below. The quality is not very good, but that should not stop understanding what he is saying.

(If anyone knows where there is a better copy that can be embedded here do please let me know)

Walt Brown- The Hydroplate Theory

Walt Brown gives a very good overview of the physical processes that may have happened, (we do not know), and that very plausibly explain the physical pictures that we see today as we look at the earth.

If you want to a more in depth explanation I recommend the Hovind theory, or Walt Browns book ‘In the Beginning: Compelling Evidence for Creation and the Flood’. You can see the Hovind Theore on Google Video here Though it is the older version I think. It you can buy it from Creation Science Evangelism Dr. Kent hovind’s ministry website at www.drdino.com

If you live in the UK I will gladly mail you a copy of the DVD. You can contact me here. You can read Walt Browns book ‘In The Beginning’ on his web site www.creationscience.com If you would like more Bible teaching about Creation or the Flood or on the Science suporting Creatin or the Flood or if you have question do please contact me.

A great flood is not supported by any credible means of scientific proof.

Prove to me that it happened, and maybe you can save my ‘soul’.

Referencing the bible does not count, I don’t accept accounts, I want hard evidence that isn’t open to interpretation.

What I want from you people, if I am to believe you, is a scientific argument that starts in the following way:

“Suppose that there wasn’t a great flood as portrayed in the bible.”
Now I want you to find contradictions to this supposition, thus concluding that there was a great flood as portrayed in the bible.

This means of proof will force you to encounter hard science which, as I challenge, will make it impossible to find contradictions to the supposition.
Now I don’t want to see anything which is psudo-scientific, for example Radio Carbon Dating is accurate and I will not accept anything which includes alternatives to it.
