America, Here We Come!
June 25th, 2009 by Andrew Drapper

Map of USA with usa flag insideDeborah, Kirsty and I have been invited to visit the United States of America for 2 weeks, at the end of August. We have a packed schedule of travelling. First we fly into Los Angeles where we meet with Ray Comfort, evangelist and co-host of Way Of The Master ministry. I’ll let Ray tell you more about what we’ll be doing there as you listen to a brief section of an interview he did with Rick Wiles on TruNews Radio.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

After our time in LA we fly to Pensacola, Florida, where we meet with Eric Hovind from Creation Science Evangelism ministry and tour their Dinosaur Adventureland and Creation Museum. Next we make another flight to West Palm Beach, Florida, to meet with Rick Wiles of TruNews Radio and check out his newest 1000 seater tent and his Hope For America mission.

If anyone happens to be in those places and wants to meet up then please let us know and we will see if we can find a time to meet.

Still not replied regarding the flaws in your statements about creation again Andrew? And the “Adapting” thing – that’s evolution, right?

I think the “Adapting” was from Eric.

“I think the “Adapting” was from Eric.”
I see you didn’t contradict his answers. So I would presume you agree with them – the “adaptation” and all that. I wouldn;t blame you though for disagreeing with him as he does seem to have got all his facts wrong. Ask him while you are there to explain the sifting by weight thing that the incredibly quickly formed fossils did after the great flood so that they all managed to end up in the right sediment layers for their relative age. Except of course they didn’t because for instance where are all the human remains that are mixed in with those of the dinosaurs?
I was in the Natural History Museum last week. I was looking carefully on your behalf and I didn’t see any mention of great floods, gardens of eden and the like. No sign of humans in with the dinosaur exhibits either. Are all these scientist people lying in your opinion?

Sounds great. While you are the Dinosaur Adventureland science department could you please ask some questions about the great flood for me – such as:

If the planet was deluged with fresh water ,to the depth of approx 35,000 feet(the approx height of mt Everest)or even 16,946 feet the height of Mt Ararat, how did the salt water species of fish, sharks and aquatic mammals survive ?
Did Noah have a floating aquarium large enough to contain a pair of blue whales at the very least?
Did the massive amounts of fresh water dilute the salt water oceans, did it float on top of the salt water?
Did the salt water species evolve to cope with the altered salinity of the oceans?
How did the freshwater species cope with salt water in their habitats?
How did coral survive the deluge of freshwater?

    Thanks

RedBarchetta was asking some questions about the flood. Here are a few quick responses.

Q#1 – “If the planet was deluged with fresh water ,to the depth of approx 35,000 feet(the approx height of mt Everest)or even 16,946 feet the height of Mt Ararat, how did the salt water species of fish, sharks and aquatic mammals survive?”

A#1 – This question assumes that Mt Everest was a mountain before the flood. Mt Everest was created during the flood when the mountains rose up and the valleys sank down. (Psalms) So no the water did not have to be 35,000 feet deep. Right now there is enough water on the surface of the earth to cover it 2 miles deep if the earth were smooth. So yes the water covered all the high hills like the Bible says, but no, it did not have to cover Mt Everest because it had not yet been created.

The second half of your question assumes that there were salt water species of fish, sharks, and aquatic mammals. Today the oceans are 3.6% salt. With the hydrologic cycle the oceans could easily go from fresh water to 3.6% salt in less than 5,000 years. The animals can adapt to a little bit of salt in the water over that amount of time no problem. So the animals that were in the flood were all fresh water animals. Today there is a distinction that was not needed before the flood, ie. fresh water and salt water.

Q#2 – Did Noah have a floating aquarium large enough to contain a pair of blue whales at the very least?
      A#2 – No

Q#3 – Did the massive amounts of fresh water dilute the salt water oceans, did it float on top of the salt water?
A#3 – No, there were no salt water oceans before the flood.

Q#4 – Did the salt water species evolve to cope with the altered salinity of the oceans?
A#4 – No, Fresh water animals have adapted, (I would not use the word evolved because of the assumptions that word brings up) to Salt in the water not the other way around. All the water use to be fresh, now the oceans are 3.6% salt and the animals have slowly, over 4,400 years, adapted to the salt in the water.

Q#5 – How did the freshwater species cope with salt water in their habitats?
A#5 – They did not have to.

Q#6 – How did coral survive the deluge of freshwater?
A#6 – Interestingly enough, the oldest coral reef in the world is the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia. When measurements are done on the rate of growth, and the size of the reef, it is calculated to be 4,200 years old. This fits perfectly with the Biblical world view of the flood that occurred 4,400 years ago!

When we see the world from the right perspective it all makes sense.

Even the simplest research shows that you are way out with your dates.
        From Wiki:

The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) considers the earliest evidence to suggest complete reef structures to have been 600,000 years ago. According to the GBRMPA, the current, living reef structure is believed to have begun growing on the older platform about 20,000 years ago. The Australian Institute of Marine Science agrees, which places the beginning of the growth of the current reef at the time of the Last Glacial Maximum. At around that time, the sea level was 120 metres (390 ft) lower than it is today.

From 20,000 years ago until 6,000 years ago, the sea level rose steadily. As it rose, the corals could then grow higher on the hills of the coastal plain. By around 13,000 years ago the sea level was 60 metres (200 ft) lower than the present day, and corals began to grow around the hills of the coastal plain, which were, by then, continental islands. As the sea level rose further still, most of the continental islands were submerged. The corals could then overgrow the hills, to form the present cays and reefs. Sea level on the Great Barrier Reef has not risen significantly in the last 6,000 years. The CRC Reef Research Centre estimates the age of the present, living reef structure at 6,000 to 8,000 years old.[22]

The remains of an ancient barrier reef similar to the Great Barrier Reef can be found in The Kimberley, a northern region of Western Australia.

Sorry but your ignorance of geological processes is staggering. To ignore every single scrap of real evidence and say that the Himalaya were knocked out a few thousand years ago is just utterly ridiculous. You teach your kids this do you Andrew? If so you should be ashamed of yourself. Same goes for the ocean salinity explanation. Look up plate tectonics and get back to me regarding where it says anything about such major gelogical features being anything less than billions of years old.
You’ll no doubt quote the “runaway subduction” pseudo scientific notion which itself is absolutely contradicted by massive amounts of geological evidence, and indeed evidence from just about every area of modern physical science.

“Fresh water animals have adapted, (I would not use the word evolved because of the assumptions that word brings up)”
In this case what does “adapt” mean?

That’s fantastic! I saw earlier today on Twitter Deborah mentioned you guys were coming to the U.S.! I hope you enjoy your time here! God willing, I’m sure you will enjoy meeting up with such great Godly people such as Ray, Kirk, the Hovind’s, Rick W., and I’m sure you’ll get to meet Ken Ham as well when you visit the Creation Museum! I’m so happy for you guys! Take care, God bless, and have fun while you’re here!

      Hi zodigital,

We are very much looking forward to our visit. Deborah tells me that we have an invitation to the Creation Museum that is associated with Ken Ham, but there is no way we can see us getting up there this trip. The Creation Museum that we are are going to visit is Dinosaur Adventure Land, run by Eric Hovind of Creation Science Evangelism, (see DrDino.com)it is in Pensacola, Florida.

      Thanks,

By the way, congratulation on being the first person to comment on the new site.
