Who Wrote Genesis?
Apr 21st, 2009 by Andrew Drapper

I havePage from Genesis been asked to talk about how do we know we can trust the book of Genesis? Who wrote it? Isn’t it just word of mouth, folk rumour? What evidence do we have about the origins of Genesis?

If any other book had the corroborating evidence that Genesis has there would be no question about it accuracy or its reliability. But Genesis talks about God and the creation of the world, of sin and its effects on us. It also shows God’s judgement a sinful world and on man’s rebellion. For this reason it is probably the most attacked historical document in the world.

So what are the origins of Genesis?

There are eleven statements in the book of Genesis that appear to give fairly clear indication of the origins of Genesis. These eleven statements all say something like ‘These are the generations of…’ then give the name of one of the patriarchs. We have Adam, Noah, the sons of Noah, Shem, Terah, Ishmael, Abraham, Isaac, etc. All except the Read the rest of this entry »

What Is Next For The Drappers.

The Drapper Family

Hi,

Until recently we were importing a learning aid from the USA and marketing it in the UK. It is a fantastic product and I can highly recommend it but the economic downturn and the relative rise in the value of the U.S. Dollar sounded the end for our import business. If you or anyone you know has learning difficulties do look at the Learning Breakthrough Programme, it is quite remarkable.

So this left us having to review our plans.

Planning a new way forward is not a frightening thing for us, we have been teaching people about how to plan out a strategy to reach their goals for many years with Five Steps to Success. So apply it to us and where do we go?

The Gospel of Jesus Christ has always been the most important thing in our lives, though we have not always been able to make it my job, as it were, and making an income, schooling the children and all the other things that NEED doing like mending the broken this or mowing the lawns etc. have often just eaten up the our time. Could Two Of Every Animal Fit On The Ark?
Apr 10th, 2009 by Andrew Drapper

Story Book Noahs Ark Cartoon

I received this question the other day through my daughters website  www.deborahdrapper.com.

The commenter said:

“There is one Bible story in particular that I find difficult to accept as an actual event which in turn sheds doubt in general with regard to accepting the Bible as a literal record. Noah’s ark. Even with today’s technology I’m relatively sure it would be difficult, if not impossible, to build a vessel capable of housing two of each living thing on earth. Additionally there is the matter of food and water and keeping prey animals separate from their prey. The sheer size and logistics are a bit mind boggling.”

So, how was it done and is it possible?

Let us first have a look and see what the Bible says. Read the rest of this entry »

The Beast at Downing Street BBC with notes

The Beast at Downing Street! Not making any claims, but just saw this on the BBC website and had to share the fun.  Officials struggled to execute a three point turn of Obama’s armoured limousine, known as ‘The Beast’, during the president’s visit to Downing Street.
